Wash & Care Guidelines
Our fabrics are designed to deliver more than just comfort – it is engineered to perform under demanding conditions. At Pranera, our fabrics combine innovative textile technologies with durable construction to ensure long-lasting comfort, functionality and a professional appearance.
Whether used in industrial workplaces, healthcare, hospitality, corporate environments or educational institutions, our fabrics are developed to retain their shape, colour and performance through repeated use. Advanced features such as moisture management, UV protection, stretch, anti-microbial treatments and durable finishes continue to perform best when garments are cared for correctly.
Following the recommended wash and care practices will help maintain fabric integrity, preserve functional finishes and extend the life of your garment.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Machine Wash Cold (30°C)
Wash garments in cold water with similar colours using a gentle cycle. Cold washing helps maintain fabric strength, colour vibrancy and technical finishes while reducing energy consumption.
Use a Mild Detergent
Choose a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Harsh chemicals can gradually affect specialised fabric treatments and reduce garment longevity.
Do Not Bleach
Bleaching agents may weaken fibres, fade colours and damage functional fabric finishes. Avoid both chlorine and oxygen-based bleach.
Tumble Dry on Low Heat
If machine drying is required, use only a low-temperature setting. Lower drying temperatures help preserve garment shape, elasticity and performance properties.
Iron with Care
Iron only when necessary using a low heat setting. Avoid ironing at high temperatures.
Do Not Dry Clean
Professional dry-cleaning solvents may affect synthetic fibres and specialised textile finishes. Machine washing is the recommended method of care.
Garment Care Tips
Simple everyday practices can significantly extend the life and performance of your apparel.
Wash Inside Out
Turning garments inside out before washing helps protect the fabric surface, reflective trims, printed graphics, embroidery and colour finish from unnecessary abrasion.
Wash Promptly After Use
Perspiration, oils and workplace contaminants can accumulate on fabric over time. Washing garments soon after use helps maintain hygiene, freshness and fabric performance.
Avoid Fabric Softeners
Fabric softeners leave a coating on technical fibres that can reduce breathability and moisture-wicking efficiency. Skipping softeners helps preserve the fabric’s performance.
Air Dry Whenever Possible
Whenever practical, line dry garments in a shaded, well-ventilated area. This minimises heat exposure and helps maintain colour and fabric integrity.
Avoid Excessive Heat
High temperatures during washing, drying, or ironing can reduce the effectiveness of stretch fibres, moisture-management finishes and reflective elements.
Handle Reflective Trims Carefully
For garments with reflective tapes or high-visibility trims, avoid direct ironing and excessive heat to preserve visibility, adhesion and durability.
Follow the Garment Label
Each garment may have specific care requirements depending on its fabric composition and finishes. Always refer to the sewn-in care label before washing.
